About Our Coverage in This Region

The East of England runs on compressed air: food and drink processing in Suffolk and Norfolk, agricultural and packaging operations across Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire borders, and logistics parks along the A14 corridor. Airmech covers the region on scheduled service routes, with the A14 giving our Nuneaton based engineers a direct run into Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich.

We carry out planned servicing, ultrasonic air leak surveys and PSSR coordination across the region, and our leak detection work already takes us to sites from Bedford and St Neots through to the Norfolk coast. Every East of England site gets the same digital job sheets, service records and reporting as the rest of our national customer base.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you get to a site in East Anglia?

Our engineers reach Cambridge and Peterborough in around 90 minutes from our Nuneaton base via the A14 and A1, with Ipswich, Norwich and the coast covered on scheduled routes. For breakdowns, contract customers receive priority dispatch and we aim for the same working day on calls received before midday.

Do you carry out air leak surveys in the East of England?

Yes. Ultrasonic leak detection is one of our most requested services in the region. Every leak is tagged, quantified in CFM, and costed in pounds per year, and typical sites recover 20 to 30% of wasted compressed air energy. The survey fee is credited against repairs.

Can I add East of England sites to an existing Airmech contract?

Yes. If you already have an Airmech service contract for sites elsewhere in the UK, adding locations in the East of England is straightforward. We extend the same SLAs, reporting and compliance management to any new site, with no separate contract needed.

What does PSSR compliance involve for my sites in the region?

PSSR (Pressure Systems Safety Regulations) requires that all pressure systems have a Written Scheme of Examination and undergo regular thorough examinations by a competent person. We manage the entire process, from producing the Written Scheme to scheduling examinations and coordinating with your insurer. We advise sensibly, we do not provide legal advice.

Need Compressed Air Support in the East of England?

One call. We discuss your sites, agree the scope, and give you a fixed price. Same national standards, same reporting, wherever you are in the region.
