Why Hydrovane with Air-Mech?

Rotary vane runs differently to screw. Forty-five years of distributing it means we size and service it for the application, not the spec sheet.

45 Years as an Authorised Distributor

Since 1980. Every generation of Hydrovane hardware has been through our workshop. We know the kit, the part numbers, and the failure modes.

Rotary Vane Expertise

Sliding-vane technology runs differently to screw: single-stage, fewer moving parts, lower noise. Our engineers are factory-trained on every HV and HR model.

Built for Continuous Duty

Hydrovane suits processes that need a quiet, reliable air supply running long hours. We size, install, and service for the application, not the spec sheet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Air-Mech an authorised Hydrovane distributor?

Yes. Air-Mech has been an authorised Hydrovane distributor since 1980. We fit genuine parts, have access to factory technical support, and can offer full manufacturer warranty on all new Hydrovane installations.

What is a rotary vane compressor and how is it different to a screw?

A rotary vane compressor uses a sliding-vane design: a rotor with vanes that slide out against the housing to compress the air. It is single-stage with fewer moving parts than a rotary screw, which is why it runs quieter and delivers steadily under continuous load. Rotary screw generally suits higher flow demands. Which is right for you depends on your duty cycle and flow requirement.

What size Hydrovane compressors do you supply?

The HV rotary vane range runs from 1.5 to 75 kW. Above that, or where flow demand is better matched by screw technology, we would typically specify from the HR series or the wider CompAir range.

Are Hydrovane compressors quieter than screw compressors?

Generally yes. The sliding-vane design has fewer moving parts and lower vibration, which is why Hydrovane units are often chosen for installations close to a working area or where noise is a constraint. If low noise is the priority, it is worth looking at our silent and low-noise range alongside Hydrovane.

Can you service a Hydrovane compressor you did not supply?

Yes. We service all Hydrovane equipment regardless of where it was purchased. As an authorised distributor we use genuine parts and have factory technical support behind us.

Do you display Hydrovane compressor prices on your website?

No. Pricing depends on the model, configuration, ancillary equipment, and installation requirements. We provide a written quotation after understanding your compressed air demand and site conditions. All quotes include installation and commissioning.
