Hydrovane HV Series
Rotary Vane Compressors
Rotary vane technology: fewer moving parts, longer service life, quieter operation. The Hydrovane HV Series delivers reliable compressed air from 4 to 22 kW with service intervals up to 4,000 hours. Supplied and maintained by Airmech.

View rangeWhy Rotary Vane?
Hydrovane invented the rotary vane compressor. The principle is simple: a rotor with sliding vanes turns inside a stator, compressing air as the vanes sweep through the decreasing chamber volume. No gears, no complex timing, no belt drive on most models.
Fewer Moving Parts
Rotary vane compressors have a fraction of the components found in rotary screw equivalents. Fewer bearings, no timing gears, no male/female rotor set. This simplicity translates directly into longer service life and lower maintenance costs.
Quiet Operation
Sound levels from 61 dB(A) on the HR04E. The vane compression principle produces less vibration and lower frequency noise than screw compressors, making Hydrovane suitable for point-of-use installation without acoustic enclosures.
Long Service Intervals
Up to 4,000 hours between services on HV models. The simple mechanical design means fewer consumables per service, lower parts costs, and less downtime per maintenance visit.
Consistent Air Quality
The vane mechanism delivers stable, pulse-free air output. No pulsation dampers required. Ideal for applications sensitive to pressure fluctuation such as spray finishing and laboratory instruments.
Energy Efficient at Part Load
Rotary vane compressors maintain good specific power at part load conditions. Combined with optional VSD control, Hydrovane units perform well on variable demand profiles without the efficiency losses typical of screw compressors at reduced output.
Compact and Self-Contained
Receiver-mounted options on the HR range and compact floor-standing frames on the HV range. Minimal installation footprint with integrated aftercooler and moisture separator as standard.
