How Compressed Air Powers Your Operations

Dental Instruments

High speed handpieces, air turbines, and three-in-one syringes all depend on clean, dry compressed air delivered to every surgery.

Medical Air Supply

Compressed air for patient care applications meeting HTM 02-01 requirements.

Suction Systems

Dental suction and aspiration systems working alongside your compressed air supply.

Laboratory Equipment

Compressed air for dental laboratory tools, Bunsen burner alternatives, and casting equipment.

Autoclave Support

Compressed air for autoclave door seals and sterilisation cycle support.

Where Dental Practices Get Caught Out

1

Compliance obligations most practice owners do not know about

PSSR applies to dental compressors with air receivers. HTM 02-01 sets standards for dental compressed air. CQC inspectors are increasingly aware of both. Most practice owners have never been told.

2

Air quality issues affecting patient safety

Oil mist, moisture, and bacteria in compressed air can reach patients through handpieces and syringes. If your filtration and drying are inadequate, you have a patient safety issue you may not know about.

3

Noisy, aging compressors disrupting the practice

Old compressors run loud, run hot, and break down at the worst times. A modern, properly sized dental compressor runs quietly and reliably for years.

Safe Air for Your Patients, Simple for Your Practice

Airmech services and supplies dental compressed air systems that meet HTM 02-01 and PSSR requirements. We handle the maintenance and the compliance paperwork so you can focus on your patients.

We supply quiet, oil-free dental compressors, maintain existing systems of any brand, and provide the documentation your CQC inspector may ask for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does PSSR apply to dental compressors?

If your dental compressor has an air receiver (most do), then PSSR almost certainly applies. You need a written scheme of examination and periodic examinations by a competent person. We handle the paperwork and coordinate the examinations.

What is HTM 02-01?

Health Technical Memorandum 02-01 sets standards for medical and dental compressed air quality, maintenance, and testing. It covers air purity, system design, and ongoing monitoring requirements for patient contact applications.

How noisy is a modern dental compressor?

Modern oil-free dental compressors operate at 50 to 60 dB, similar to a normal conversation. If your current compressor is noticeably loud, a modern replacement will make a significant difference to your practice environment.

Can you service our existing compressor?

Yes. We service dental compressors from all manufacturers. We also supply new systems when repair is no longer economical or when your current system does not meet compliance requirements.

Safe Air. Happy Patients. No Hassle.

Tell us about your practice setup. We will check your compliance status and recommend the right service plan.
